The Belgian plant specializes in Alkaline production, while the Polish plant has both an Alkaline and Zinc lines, and also produces special packaging. APS supplies approximately 2-3 batteries per year to each of the 450 million Europeans. Advanced Power Solutions plant in Tessenderlo, Belgium is a world-renowned producer of alkaline batteries, with a history dating back to 1970 when it began producing Zinc/Carbon batteries as part of Panasonic Batteries Europe. The Advanced Power Solutions plant in Gniezno is well known for its production of Zinc Carbon and Alkaline batteries. The Gniezno plant has a rich a history dating back to 1993 and is fueled by 350 employees.
