This resulted in the GRC-series for various automated steel handling processes. We strive to optimize all our customers’ production processes and improve efficiency wherever we can. Until this very moment, we always believed that this can only be achieved by creating our tailor made production machinery, handling equipment and logistic systems. Now however, we’ve found a fully automated and especially innovative solution for handling steel profiles, tubes and plates after the cutting process, which we forged into a semi-standard product (the GRC).

    Cellro is in 2004 ontstaan in de fabriekshal van een metaalbewerkingsbedrijf in het midden van Nederland. Bram de Koning, grondlegger van Cellro was en is eigenaar van dit succesvolle bedrijf in de verspanende industrie. Qua automatisering werd er gewerkt met lineaire pallethandelingsystemen, en rond 2000 werd een robot ingezet bij werkzaamheden voor de automotive branche. Deze deed dankzij zijn beperkte intelligentie telkens hetzelfde trucje, en was alleen inzetbaar bij grote productieaantallen. De Koning had meer behoefte aan een flexibelere en slimmere procesgestuurde automatiseringsoplossing. Hij zag dan ook mogelijkheden om het productieproces in het bedrijf op een efficiënte manier te optimaliseren. Zo ontstond het Cellro concept om een universele automatiseringsoplossing aan verspanende machines te creëren die elke voorkomende handeling zou kunnen automatiseren. Hierbij was automatisering een vaststaand element, waar machines aan gekoppeld worden. Vanuit dit concept zijn verschillende productlijnen ontwikkeld en gerealiseerd. Al kort naar haar ontstaan werd de behuizing te klein en verhuisde Cellro naar een pand in Ede. Daar groeide Cellro in korte tijd uit tot een volwaardig automatiseringsbedrijf met een unieke productlijn die aanslaat in de markt. In 2011 ontgroeide Cellro ook dit pand, en nam intrek in de huidige locatie in Veenendaal.
